One box, three jobs

What EVSense does

No new head unit and no wire cutting — it uses the USB port your car already uses for CarPlay.

Free

Works through Apple CarPlay

Plug the box into the original head unit's USB port and the EVSense screen appears on the car display through the car's CarPlay — wired, or wireless on tested cars.

Free

EV Gauge

Live EV data on the car screen — battery level, power, temperature and more — read through a Vgate OBD adapter over Bluetooth (included in the box).

Member

EV Guardian

High-voltage battery health: cell voltage spread, temperature, insulation and SOH trend, with a weekly email report. Danger-level alerts are free on every box.

How it connects

How it connects to your car

Vgate OBD adapter

Plugs into the car's OBD-II port and reads battery and electrical data — read-only.

EVSense box

Processes everything in the box — danger alerts work even with no internet.

Original car screen

The EVSense screen shows through the car's Apple CarPlay, controlled by the car's touchscreen.

Internet (Wi-Fi) is only used to check membership and send reports. Without internet, membership keeps working for 14 days.

EV Guardian

Four things worth knowing about your HV battery — early

Cell voltage spread (ΔV)

A cell drifting away from the others is often the first sign of a weak cell or poor balancing.

Battery temperature

Too hot, or uneven between sensors — while driving and during fast charging.

Insulation resistance

Falling isolation between the high-voltage system and the car body is a safety issue worth knowing early.

SOH trend

State of Health as reported by the car, tracked as a weekly trend line.

Know the limits

EV Guardian helps you monitor and get alerts; it is not a certified safety device. The car's BMS and dashboard warnings remain the primary protection. SOH is the value reported by the car, not our own measurement. Every report is not a battery health certificate.
